MONTPELIER, OHIO — Wieland Chase, a division of Wieland Chase, LLC, is expanding its brass forging operation, resulting in the relocation to a new building with plans to hire 20 for a wide range of positions to support its growth.
The team at Forgeworks will be focused on producing brass parts, components, and products through today's innovative forging processes. Forgeworks offers top pay and benefits, as well as career training, according to a Jan. 3 announcement.
In its hiring campaign, Forgeworks is seeking 20 candidates for positions ranging from production supervisors to machine operators, technicians, and maintenance technicians. Individuals with skills, experience, and interest in machining, tooling, and forging press operations are encouraged to apply.
"We believe that forging will play an essential role in the future of brass production, thanks to its advantages such as production efficiencies," Brad Johnson, director, Forgeworks, said in the announcement. "Working at Forgeworks is an opportunity to help usher in the future for Wieland Chase – and Williams County."
The Forgeworks division of Wieland Chase will operate at its new location, featuring state-of-the-art forging equipment, at 1812 Magda Drive in Montpelier, Ohio.
"The Forgeworks facility will reflect today's high tech forging operations," Tom Christie, vice president of marketing, said. "Forgeworks is bringing brass manufacturing back to the U.S. We’re excited for the innovative production of brass forgings that will be happening in Williams County."

On July 16, 2019, Wieland-Werke AG and Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc. (GBC) completed their previously announced merger. After the merger, Chase Brass and Copper Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of GBC, became Wieland Chase.
